Godswill Akpabio, the president of the Nigerian Senate, has charged Godwin Emefiele, a former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), with several economic offenses while he was in charge of the nation’s top bank.
The Senate President accused Emefiele of crimes such as unlawful gun ownership, printing Naira notes without permission, and other misdeeds that left Nigeria in a financial crisis.
