The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has chosen Senator Monday Okpebholo as the party’s candidate for Edo governor, according to party chieftain Kassim Afegbua.

According to the previous Edo State Commissioner for Information, there was never a primary election for governorship that produced Okpebholo.

Remember that the APC national leadership canceled the first primary, which had three victors, and removed Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma from her position as chairman of the election committee.

In the All Progressives Congress (APC) rescheduled primary on Thursday, Okpebholo received 12, 433 votes, making him the victorious candidate over 11 other contenders.

Afegbua claimed in a Friday interview with TheCable that Okpebholo was personally chosen by the APC National Chairman.

Party leader Kassim Afegbua announced that Senator Monday Okpebholo has been selected by the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Working Committee (NWC) as the party’s candidate for Edo governor.

The previous Edo State Commissioner for Information claims that Okpebholo was never the winner of a primary election for governor.

Recall that the APC national leadership withdrew Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma from her role as chairman of the election committee and called off the first primary, which had three winners.

After 11 candidates, Okpebholo emerged as the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) rescheduled primary on Thursday with 12, 433 votes.

In a Friday interview with TheCable, Afegbua stated that Okpebholo was specifically selected by the APC National Chairman.
