Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, the daughter of President Bola Tinubu and the Iyaloja General of Lagos State, has urged Nigerians who are struggling economically to have patience and hope.

Speaking during the Lagos State branch of the Aljamahatul Qadiriyyah Islamic Movement’s 2024 Mawlid Nabiyy celebration, Tinubu-Ojo addressed worries about the current state of the economy, characterizing it as a part of a global slump that affects all countries, not just Nigeria.

In addition to being a spiritual assembly for national prayer, Tinubu-Ojo stressed the need of hope and faith in overcoming the present economic difficulties at the occasion.

She emphasized that the current state of the economy is a passing phase and gave the people confidence that her father, President Bola Tinubu, is actively working to lessen the suffering of the people.

In an attempt to ask for heavenly direction for Nigerian leaders and prosperity for the nation, Tinubu-Ojo made his remarks during the recital of several verses from the Glorious Qur’an.

The Iyaloja General emphasized the value of togetherness and tenacity during these difficult times. She was also turbaned as the Iya Adinni of Qadiriyyah in Nigeria and Africa in honor of her contributions to the growth of Islam.

“I want to encourage everyone in Nigeria to be a little more patient,” she stated. It’s only a question of time before everything turns out fine. We must maintain our optimism. Not just in Nigeria, but throughout the entire world, there is an economic slump. However, we ask Allah to sustain us.

Let us offer prayers for our country. Our leaders need our prayers. Our leaders will make the correct decisions and everything will work out if we pray for them.

Alhaji Kashim Ibrahim, the event’s chairman and a former chairman of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TERTFUND), praised the movement for organizing the yearly Mawlid Nabiyy festival, which brings thousands of Muslims together and is unprecedented by all measures.
