According to an official, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is thinking of changing the exam date for this year.

The postponed 2019 general election has resulted in this consequence. Professor Hafiz Abubakar, the Deputy Governor of Kano State, is keeping an eye on how the state’s continuing Joint Admission and Matriculation Examination is being administered.

Prior to an announcement of a change by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), polls for the presidential and legislative elections were scheduled to start on February 16.

The state elections will take place on March 9 a week later, and the presidential election of 2019 will now take place on February 23.

This year, from January 10 to February 21, all candidates, including those outside of Nigeria, can purchase registration forms (UTME/DE). The test is anticipated to start on March 16 and run through March 23 at all JAMB computer-based testing locations across the country.

In the meantime, PREMIUM TIMES was informed by board-affiliated authorities that the examination date has been moved from March 16 to April 16 due to the general elections.
