In two months, Bauchi Police apprehend 20 people for acts of sexual and gender-based abuse.
Over the past two months, the Bauchi State police command has detained no fewer than twenty suspected rapists in the state in an attempt to halt the spread of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV).

According to a press release issued by the Command via PPRO DSP Ahmed Wakili, on August 9, 2020, the Misau Police Station received a report stating that one Usman Adamu, aged 20 years, from the Nasarawa area, conspired criminally with Adamu Muhammad, aged 21, Nura Musa, aged 20, and Khalid Abdullahi, who is currently at large, from the Nasarawa area to kidnap one Halima, aged 14 (her real name is unknown), from the Hardawa area. They kept her in a house situated in the same Nasarawa area for nearly a year.
