Why I Ended My Marriage With My Wife – Rapper Ikechukwu Explains

Ikechukwu Onunaku, a veteran Nigerian rapper and Nollywood actor, has admitted that his marriage has failed.

According to Alabareports, the rapper and his fiancée Ella got married in May 2021.

However, Ikechukwu claimed that irreconcilable differences were the cause of his marriage’s dissolution in a recent interview with media personality Daddy Freeze.

The rapper from Mohits Records claims that although he made an effort to keep their marriage intact, he was unable to put up with his wife’s excesses.

“My wife and I are no longer together,” he declared. We couldn’t reconcile, so we split up. It wasn’t an excessive adultery. Excessive amounts of gaslighting, fault-finding, and listening to outsiders were observed.

“I made an effort to keep our marriage intact, but we were unable to put up with my ex-wife’s excesses any longer, so I showed her my other side.”

Ikechukwu, meanwhile, has stated that D’banj, the founder of the now-defunct Mohits Records, used to give him N50,000 from gigs he was booked for N1 million.

He claimed that after confronting him, he later raised it to N150,000.

Ikechukwu asserted that D’banj needed to speak with his mother before raising the sum.

He revealed that the record label’s actions were long-influenced by the co-founder’s mother.
