Drivers that use covered or improper number plates have been warned about the riot act by the Lagos State Government.

The state administration issued a warning, saying that those who do such things could end up with their cars seized.

The warning was given in a statement on Friday in Lagos by Oluwaseun Osiyemi, the Commissioner for Transportation.

The Lagos State Government, according to Osiyemi, is dedicated to improving and enforcing traffic laws.

Osiyemi claims that drivers who engage in such behavior are in violation of the State’s Transport Reform Law’s sections 15 and 16 (TSRL 2018).

“Such acts seriously jeopardize public safety and security in addition to breaking driving regulations.

“Driving without visible number plates impedes law enforcement efforts and makes it more difficult to identify vehicles that are connected to criminal activity,” the speaker stated.
