Speaking on Tuesday, he claimed that because former President Muhammadu Buhari borrowed more money than all of the preceding administrations put together, Nigeria is broke and going through terrible times.

He said as much on Twitter.

He penned:

“And Nigeria’s financial crisis is the cause of this. Furthermore, because General Buhari borrowed more money than all prior administrations combined, Nigeria is bankrupt.

“We can’t keep taking out loans to buy things. Kindly verify my facts. We will simply be passing on the burden to our offspring if we continue to borrow. Let’s endure it now and provide wealth to the following generation.
