Shettima Tells EFCC to Quit Harassing and Persecuting Former Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello

Yerima Shettima, the president of the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF), has charged that Yahaya Bello, the immediate former governor of Kogi State, is being harassed and persecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Shettima claimed that the EFCC is concealing while pretending to look into claims that Bello embezzled money in order to threaten and harass the former governor.

Alabareports remembers that the EFCC brought Yahaya Bello in court on charges of financial fraud totaling N80 billion, involving a few other people.

The AYCF and its president, however, claimed that the events that are transpiring in Kogi State demonstrate how the EFCC is willingly becoming a weapon in the hands of some individuals and interest groups in order to harass the former governor.
