Comrade Israel Joe, the organizer of the #ENDSARS demonstrations in Delta State, informed Governor Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa and CP Ari Muhammad Ali, the state’s commissioner of police, today that certain police officers have returned to their alleged acts of extortion, brutality, harassment, and robbery that sparked the national demonstration in October of last year.

Comrade Joe mentioned that the Commissioner of Police has received two of his petitions to that effect Alabareports.
While expressing sadness for the circumstances, Comrade Joe also prayed that it wouldn’t turn into another large-scale demonstration and urged the police authorities to look into these matters and make sure justice is served.

Additionally, he pleaded with Governor Okowa to form a “interface committee” to combat police brutality in the state.

Comrade Joe conveyed his happiness that the governor has received the findings from the Delta State Judicial Panel of Inquiry on Police Brutality and Extrajudicial Killings.
