Abdulfatah Ahmed, the former governor of Kwara State, responded to his visit to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s (EFCC) Ilorin Command.
The anti-graft agency had invited Ahmed to come and explain the transactions totaling billions of naira made while he was the state’s governor, according to an earlier report from Alabareports.

The former governor responded to his visit by saying that the invitation he received from the EFCC was both typical and customary in a statement sent by his spokesperson, Wahab Oba.

Ahmed claimed that the invitation from the anti-graft agency was not unusual and that he was in Ilorin to attend it as he always has and will continue to do.

“I have always stated that I am willing to respond to any inquiry or question regarding my stewardship as a state governor,” he stated.

I am therefore ready and prepared to account for my stewardship, and my visit to the agency’s headquarters today is a result of my invitation.
