The Lagos State Government claims that because the gadget village is a residential area, it is proposed to relocate it from Computer Village, Ikeja, to Katangua in the Abule-Egba area of the state.

This was revealed on Tuesday during a visit to the electronic gadget center in Ikeja by Olajide Babatunde, Special Advisor on Electronic Geographic Information System and Urban Development to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The Lagos State Building Control Agency carried out the examination in coordination with relevant law enforcement organizations and other government authorities that handle similar matters.

According to Babatunde, the Ikeja Computer Village is now situated in a residential neighborhood by law. He also mentioned that the intention to move the center to Abule Egba has been postponed for a number of reasons.
