There were reports of fighting on Friday morning between Yoruba and Hausa at the Oluwole Market in Ogba, Lagos State’s Ojodu Local Council Development Area.
Following the altercation, people of the vicinity and motorbike riders were observed fleeing for their lives, causing commercial activity to be suspended in the market.

An unnamed man is said to have stabbed a young man named Abbey on Thursday night after he broke up a fight between two Hausa males, leaving him in a pool of blood, according to an eyewitness who talked with Daily Trust.

Before Abbey gave up the ghost, he was allegedly bleeding heavily, which led to retaliation between the Yoruba and Hausa in the area.

Due to the retaliatory attack, food items such as peppers and onions were destroyed.

Adejobi claims that the Inspector General of Police emphasized how critical it is to hold people accountable who have betrayed the public’s trust. In addition to harming the police force’s reputation, this kind of behavior impedes national attempts to maintain law and order.

He reaffirmed that the Police Force is dedicated to take strong action against any misconduct within our ranks and that it recognizes the need of accountability and openness in maintaining public trust.

An earlier report in February stated that the NPF had verified the apprehension of the policemen responsible for kidnapping an Abuja businessman and extorting N29.9 million from him in January.
