Recently, Prof. Cyril Ndifon, the suspended dean of the University of Calabar’s (UNICAL) Faculty of Law, and his attorney, Sunny Anyanwu, were granted bail before the Federal High Court in Abuja.

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) arraigned both of them on amended charges that included claims of sexual harassment and efforts to sabotage the legal process.

Similar to this, N50 million in bail with two sureties was given to his attorney, Anyanwu.

The trial judge, Justice James Omotoso, denied their bail request on Friday, stating that the first defendants will be granted N250 million in bail, along with two sureties who possess properties in the Federal Capital Territory that are valued at least N150 million.

“The bank statements of the first defendant and his two sureties are required to be submitted.
