Indefinite Strike: Reconsider Your Decision, Orji Uzor Kalu Begs NLC, TUC

Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, a former governor of Abia state, has urged the Trade Union Congress (TUC) and the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) to call off their planned indefinite strike.
Kalu made her remarks in a widely shared video that Vanguard saw on Thursday.

Recall that on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, the Organization of Labour launched an indefinite strike.

After the two-day warning strike that the NLC had earlier initiated on September 5 and 6, due to the government’s failure to show that President Bola Tinubu’s administration was committed to carrying out a number of agreements and promises that it had broken, as well as the ultimatum of 21 days, the declaration for an indefinite strike became necessary.
