Google and Alphabet’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Sundar Pichai, has declared that the company’s AI chatbot, Bard, will now go by the name Gemini.

According to Alabareports, Pichai revealed this in a Thursday press conference piece.

We’ve been making significant investments in AI for years since it’s the only way to enhance Search and all of our products. We’re thrilled about the developments, such as our Search Generative Experience (SGE), available for trial in Google Labs. Additionally, AI is now essential to two companies that have expanded quickly in recent years: our popular subscription service Google One, which is soon to reach 100 million members, and our cloud and workspace services.

A fresh state-of-the-art

With the beginning of the Gemini period in December, we made a big advancement toward our goal of making AI more beneficial for everyone by setting new standards for text, images, audio, and video. Gemini is expanding to become more than simply the models, though. From the products that billions of people use every day to the platforms and APIs that enable developers and companies to innovate, it supports a whole ecosystem.
