Woman Gives Birth At Bus Stop In Lagos

In the Lagos State neighborhood of Onipanu, a woman who has not yet been named gave birth to a newborn on Monday on the side of the road.
About nine in the morning, the heavily pregnant woman went into surprise labor while she was waiting to board a bus.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency’s (LASEMA) Permanent Secretary, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, claims that she was taken care of following a distress call received by the organization’s Emergency Response Team.

According to the head of LASEMA, a temporary solution was provided to guarantee both the mother’s health and the safe birth of the child.

“On February 19, 2024, at around nine in the morning, neighbors and onlookers at the Onipanu Bus Stop called the agency’s Emergency Response Team in distress over a heavily pregnant woman who had suddenly gone into labor at the bus stop.
