Why govt must obey court order on fixing prices of goods Lawyer

Monday Ubani, a human rights attorney, has provided justification for why the Lagos Federal High Court’s judgment for the federal government to set the prices of goods and petroleum products within seven days must be complied with.
The government should regulate the prices of commodities, according to the former chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association’s (NBA) Section of Public Interest and Development Law (SPIDEL).
This was said by Ubani during a Thursday interview on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily.
“The government must” (set prices of commodities), said the lawyer. Currently, the court has mandated within seven days. A government that cares about improving people’s lives will get involved in this specific process and follow the court’s rulings.condemnation and declare that it is preferable for them to start setting prices for the things at this point.A administration that truly loves Nigeria, in my opinion, would take such action. I don’t think they’ll go back and challenge this specific ruling.
Ubani expressed sadness that retailers are taking unfair advantage of customers as a result of the government’s inability to regulate the cost of commodities and petroleum products.
“There was some level of government intervention in Nigerian product prices,” he stated. There came a time when the government showed no interest in addressing the problems of price fixing, inflation, or the law itself.
