Teniola Apata, a.k.a. Teni, a Nigerian musician, has disclosed the epitaph she desires to be placed on her headstone.

“She lived life on her own terms,” is what the 30-year-old stated she wanted her loved ones to write.

When she appeared as a guest on the most recent episode of the Tea With Tay podcast, which is hosted by actor Temisan Emmanuel Ahwieh, also known as Taymesan, she revealed this.

“My father passed away when I was two years old,” Teni remarked. Life goes on even if you die today. You’re not allowed to express who you are.

Being able to express oneself is essential. Those who pass judgment on you will also perish. They would so pass away with their own tales. Your own story dies with you. I’m going about my life as I see fit, letting the Everyone is aware of who I am.

Singing is something I do on my terms, both when I’m happy and sad. I use these terms to express who I am. I will not be here indefinitely. We are all not going to escape this world alive.

“I want it written on my grave, ‘She lived life on her own terms.'” Yes, I do wish to pass away contentedly. My death will be empty.

Many people have so much brilliance within of them, but they’re too shy to show it. Believe me, there are a ton of skills and dreams buried in the graveyard. Things that had the power to alter history.
