Mayorkun is a singer, and one of his necklaces that was taken on Tuesday in Calabar, the capital of Cross River State, has been found.The musician accepted the state government’s invitation to travel to the state and perform in the 2023 Calabar Carnival.
After his show, Mayorkun took to social media to accuse someone of stealing his millions of naira worth of valuables.
He denounced the crime and vowed never to return to the state, calling the experience a “nightmare.”
He posted a N5 million prize on his social media page for the recovery of the second piece of jewelry after one was discovered on Wednesday.
Singer Iyanya provided an update on the event on Thursday night, saying that the second jewelry has been given back.
Iyanya shared the video of its recovery and added, “Calabar people, thank you for doing what’s right.” There is a second pendant for @iammayorkun.The pendant was returned to @HitFMCalabar, according to a call we received this morning. Mr. Duke Emmanuel accepted it and gave it to Hon. Effiong Ekpenyong, MNIPR, FCAI, Special Adviser Events Management, Governor’s Office, Calabar. We continue to be a kind and tranquil state.
