Sinach Biography

Osinachi Kalu Okoro Egbu, better known by his stage name Sinach, was born in Nigeria on March 30, 1972. He has been a senior worship leader for more than 30 years. She is the first solo artist to spend 12 weeks at the top of the Billboard Christian Songwriter list. She became the first Nigerian to win the Award when her song “Way Maker” garnered three nominations and took home the Song of the Year prize at the 51st GMA Dove Awards. When on tour in the US in 2021, she was honored by the US Congress and earned the BMI song of the year award.

She has nine studio albums out, and many of them have popular songs including “I Know Who I Am,” “Wonderful Are You Lord,” “Rejoice,” and others. “Sweet Jesus,” “The Name of Jesus,” “This Is My Season,” “Amazing God,” “For This,” “I Stand Amazed,” “Simply Dedicated,” and “Jesus is Alive” are among the songs that reference Jesus’ resurrection.
