Adult content creator Astrid Wett made headlines when she uploaded an odd twerking video online and claimed to be “19% Nigerian.”

South Africa and Nigeria’s intense semifinal match resulted in a 1-1 tie in normal time, with Victor Osimhen’s late goal being controversially disallowed.

But in the middle of all the football drama, Astrid Wett’s visually striking social media post attracted a lot of attention. The video was subtitled “POV: You find out you’re 19% Nigerian” by Wett, who is well-known for her outlandish online character. A green heart emoji and a Nigerian flag were also included. Reactions to the post were divided; some thought it was funny, while others thought it was rude and improper.
