Not Getting Government Seat Shouldn’t Stop One From Community Service – Banky W

According to Bankole Wellington, also known as Banky W, giving back to the community shouldn’t be conditioned on holding public office, according to IGBERETV.

The musician, who was running for the PDP in the Eti-Osa federal constituency of Lagos State, was defeated by the Labour Party candidate.

Banky said on his Instagram account that serving the community shouldn’t be hindered because one doesn’t get elected to office.

He composed;

“We don’t deserve a seat in the government in the first place if our service to the community was solely contingent on whether we received a seat in the government.”
