Nigerian-American actress, Ayo Edebiri, others win big at 2024 Golden Globe Awards

Actress Ayo Edebiri, a Nigerian-American, was one of the winners of the 2024 Golden Globe Awards, which were presented on Sunday at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, in the United States.For her role as Sydney Adamu in the television series “The Bear,” Edebiri won the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Musical or Comedy.
To win the prize, she easily overcame Elle Fanning, Quinta Brunson, Natasha Lyonne, Rachel Brosnahan, and Selena Gomez.The Bear also took up the trophy for Best Television Comedy Series.
Nevertheless, “Oppenheimer” emerged as the greatest victor of the evening, taking home five accolades, including Best Director for Christopher Nolan and Best Motion Picture (drama).
Remarkably, “Barbie,” the film with the most nominations, took home just two prizes.
