Mercy Chinwo Threatens To Sue Nigerian Singer

Mercy Chinwo, a well-known gospel performer, has threatened to sue Obidiz Lawson, another performer.

Chinwo asserts that Obidiz disparaged her.

Last month, Obidiz published an album that included the single “Mercy Chinwo” as one of the tunes.

Mercy objected to the singer’s use of her name in a disrespectful and degrading way in a letter.

She advised Obidiz to remove the song from all streaming services and all promotional content on social media.

The gospel singer further asked that Obidiz publicly apologize for using her name in a disrespectful way and express regret for doing so.

She continued by saying that failing to comply with the requirements would subject him to legal action and result in damages of two billion Naira.
