Nigerian ancestry has been disclosed by Ghanaian artist Stonebwoy, also known as Livingstone Etse Satekla.Stonebwoy, a member of the Ghanaian Ewe tribe, asserted that his forefathers originated in the historical Oyo Kingdom of Nigeria.
He went on to say that the Ewe, his tribe, were the first people to settle in Ilesha, Osun State.
The dancehall artist recently had a conversation with well-known Lagos influencer Ola.
Stonebwoy remarked, “Me sef nah Naija, no lies,” in Pidgin. I’m Ewe from Oyo Kingdom; my tribe moved to Ghana from Nigeria, where we got Illesha. Greetings to my fellow Nigerians in the southern region. Check Ewe, we’re directly descended from Yoruba.
