Terry Apala, a Nigerian singer, has shared his story of his father leaving him and his brothers with their mother.

He emphasized that his father was not a part of his life and that he had only returned 17 years after leaving them, dying in their home on the same day he paid them a visit.
This was revealed by the Apala crooner in an open conversation with media figure Chude Jideonwo.
“My dad was not there [for me],” he remarked. He wasn’t present. He was simply going about his daily business. I have absolutely no relationship with him.The last day I saw my father, who passed away in 1990, was also the day I left him. He traveled from Apapa all the way to our Mushin home. He was powerful.and robust. When he inquired about my mother, I informed him she wasn’t present. When I notified my mother that my dad was nearby, she advised me to urge him to leave. I informed my father what my mother had said, but he refused to listen to me until she returned. My other siblings were unable to attend as they had heard he was nearby.
