The Bank of Japan (BOJ) is committed to providing equitable access to its services for foreign residents. To this end, the BOJ has established a comprehensive set of policies and procedures to ensure that foreign residents have the same access to services as Japanese citizens.

The BOJ’s foreign resident services are designed to make it easier for foreign citizens to open bank accounts, transfer funds, and access other banking services. BOJ has also made it easier for foreign residents to access its services by offering online banking, ATMs, and a customer service helpline available in multiple languages.

The BOJ has also taken steps to ensure that foreign residents understand the banking system in Japan. BOJ publishes a range of informational materials in multiple languages, including English, Chinese, and Korean, to help foreign residents better understand the banking system in Japan.

For those foreign residents who need assistance in opening a bank account, the BOJ has set up a dedicated team of advisors to help them with the process. In addition, the BOJ has also established a foreign resident customer service center to provide one-on-one assistance to any foreign resident who needs help.

The Bank of Japan is committed to helping foreign residents access its banking services. By providing informational materials, customer service centers, and dedicated advisors, the BOJ is making sure that foreign residents have the same access to services as Japanese citizens.
