Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy of P-Square, has denied allegations made by Eedris Abdulkareem that American rapper 50 Cent and his entourage attacked the group at a 2004 concert at Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos.

In a recent podcast interview, Abdulkareem stated that P-Square and other Nigerian musicians were “flogged and chased” out of the backstage area at a concert by 50 Cent’s team.

He added that he was the only performer from Nigeria that dared not be scared to leave the backstage area.

Rudeboy responded in a recent Instagram live session with followers, claiming that P-Square was unable to attend the show because the organizers could not come to an agreement with them regarding the booking fees.

He added that after they had already agreed on large performance fees, Abdulkareem had betrayed Nigerian musicians by going behind their backs to collect “peanut” from the show organizers.

“P-Square did not go for the [50 Cent] concert,” stated Rudeboy. Another concert was held here. We never received a bill. We turned down their offer of peanuts, which is why. However, Eedris Abdulkareem was hoping for VIP treatment when he took the peanut. You weren’t well-beaten by the 50 Cent team.

“Honor yourself. For that show, P-Square was never given a bill. Everyone is telling you guys, Tony Tetuila and Daddy Showkey, that Eedris is a huge fat liar. He has a lair, as we know. That concert never sent us a bill. We chose not to go.
