Earlier today, on February 23, UEFA, the entity that oversees European football, finished drawing the teams for the 2023–2024 UEFA Europa League round of 16.

Hours after the conclusion of the eight elimination round play-off, the Europa League round of 16 draw was held at the Uefa headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, as is customary.

The winners of the eight knockout round play-offs and the eight Europa League group stage winners were included in the draw.

To avoid forcing clubs from the same nation to play one another, UEFA matched the eight seeded teams against the eight unseeded teams during the draw.

On Thursday, March 7, the seeded teams will play the away leg of the Europa League round of 16 and then the return match.

As with the UEFA Champions League, take note that there is no away goals rule. This implies that extra time and a penalty shootout will be used to decide the tie if the second leg concludes with a draw.

The full round of 16 draw for the 2023–2024 Europa League is shown below:

Liverpool vs. Sparta Prague
Villarreal versus Marseille
Brighton versus AS Roma
