A devastating assessment on how the government of the United Kingdom handled the case of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, or IPOB, was released.

This came after Kanu’s family’s lawyers, the Bindmans LLP, Blackstone Chambers & Doughty Street Chambers, presented evidence on their behalf.

Kanu’s Special Counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, sent the following report to DAILY POST, in part: “The Foreign Affairs Committee, has published a damning report, concluding that the UK government is failing to prevent “Abductor states” from “weaponising citizenship of British nationals for geopolitical ends.”

“The report draws on evidence provided by the Kanu family regarding British national Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of IPOB who was kidnapped, tortured, and subject to extraordinary rendition in Kenya by the Nigerian security forces,”
