Tems Emerges Winner For Best International Act At BET Awards 2022: Talented and versatile Afrobeats/Nigerian music singer and songwriter, Tems, has emerged the winner for Best International Act at the 2022 BET Awards.

In addition to taking the lead in the Best International Act category, Tems also won Best Collaboration on Wizkid’s song tagged “Essence” where she featured alongside Justin Bieber.

While receiving the award on stage, Tems was accompanied by Tec (one half of Show Dem Camp) and his manager, Muyiwa Awoniyi.

Tems has this to say on being presented with the award:

“It’s an honour… I mean, this is my first award show that I’m winning something and I just want to use this as an opportunity to speak to every single young, old, whatever, every single woman watching this, every single girl watching this at home.“

“Where I’m from, things like this don’t happen.”
