Marcellinus Nlemigbo, the former Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Imo state has urged indigenes to stop blaming the state governor, Hope Uzodinma for the worsening insecurity in the state.

Nlemigbo gave the advice while addressing journalists in the state.

He said it was absurd for anybody to blame Governor Uzodimma for the recent security breaches in the state, claiming the Governor was doing much in his power to curb the situation.

“Please we should appeal to the unknown gunmen and other dissident groups to give the State a peaceful chance. Governor Uzodimma has done well in all sectors of governance and therefore deserves a second tenure opportunity ” he pointed out.

He decried the Mondays’ sit-at-home in the South East allegedly instituted by the leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, noting that the development has begun to cripple the economy of the zone.

He applauded the Nigerian media for living up to their social responsibilities and enjoined them not to relent.

Nlemigbo who’s also the President of Mbaitoli/ Ikeduru (Mbaike) Peoples Assembly also called for synergy between the media and the state government, claiming that Uzodimma’s successes are underreported.
