Sani said the UK government has warned its citizens against travelling to the southeastern part of Nigeria.

A recent travel advisory issued by the United Kingdom has gotten the attention of a former lawmaker, Shehu San.

Recall that the UK government advised its citizens against travelling to the southeast due to the upcoming trial of Nnamdi Kanu, pro-Biafra agitator.

It had said the trial billed for October 21 may lead to protests and heightened security presence in Abuja and in the southeast.

In its advisory, the UK government also warned its citizens to stay away from Borno, Yobe, Bayelsa, Bauchi, Gombe, Kaduna, Katsina, Delta, Rivers, Cross River, Zamfara, and Adamawa states.

Reacting, Sani in a tweet, wrote: “The British Government has reportedly issued a warning to its citizens against traveling to the entire South Eastern states and some states including my Kaduna. Please come by train; Inside of the Kaduna city is safe, just don’t stray to the outskirts.

“Governors and Godfathers always think of handing over power to a subservient and a loyal successor, troubles erupts when the stooge breaks from the chains and moves to assert his independence. Loyalty after power has become a mirage in most cases.”
