CEO Blessing Remanded by Judge Until May 30 (See What She Did)

The blogger and self-described relationship/mental specialist was remanded in the custody of the Nigerian Correctional Services (NCoS) until May 30 for a hearing on her bail application, according to Justice Yelim Bogoro.
Blessing Okoro, a relationship blogger also known as Blessing CEO, has been placed on remand in custody by the Federal High Court of Lagos.

Following Okoro’s arraignment by the police for alleged cyberbullying, the court remanded her on Friday.

The blogger and self-described relationship/mental specialist was remanded in the custody of the Nigerian Correctional Services (NCoS) until May 30 for a hearing on her bail application, according to Justice Yelim Bogoro.

A six-count allegation of claimed cyberbullying, libel, and showing unedited films led to the defendant’s arrest by the police.

Okoro of Lekki, Lagos, “intentionally sent messages using her Instagram handle @officialblessingceo to bully, threaten, and harass one Folashade Samuels, a.k.a. Mamajazz, a younger sister to the late Bimbo Ogbonna,” according to prosecution counsel Rotshang Faith Dimka of the Force Headquarters, Abuja.

The writer was also accused of harming the reputations of Folashade Samuels and the late Bimbo Ogbonna by exposing them to hostility, contempt, and ridicule through the usage of her Instagram handle, @officialblessingceo.

She was also accused by the police of showing the movie and video “Sweet Sour” without a license from the National Film & Video Censors Board and without possessing a censorship certificate (NFVCB).

The following are some of the communications that the defendant is said to have sent, according to the police:

We should inquire about Mamajazz’s father. Their father had the exact same problem with their mother Ebele, and he fled for his life. The fault of IVD was that he lacked the courage to flee.

“The deceased Bimbo’s family is interested in IVD’s assets and safety. especially Mamajazz, her older sister. In Lagos, Bimbo and IVD are well-known figures, and it is no secret that Bimbo is violent even in their neighborhood. Everyone is aware of her everyday habit of breaking a bottle on her husband’s head. Bimbo murdered herself and had wanted to end her life since she was a young child. Evidence adsorption. My YouTube and Facebook will host all the voice notes and supporting documentation. Subscribe,”

“I’m going to question Mamajazz, the late Bimbo’s sister, a little bit… Before your sister passed away, were you and her on speaking terms? Do you still owe your deceased sister $18,000,000? Did she prevent you before she passed away? Do you even enjoy the kids of your sisters? responds to this query because | will flood the internet with unvarnished facts and proof.

“I am entering the case as the IVD’s designated relationship therapist… Will dismiss all the evidence that IVD did not harm or even kill his wife. The late Bimbo was a violent offender and a victim of suicide.

The defendant’s acts, according to the police, violated Section 375 of the Criminal Code Act and Section 24 (2)(a)(1) of the Cybercrime (Prohibition, Prevention, etc) Act, 2015.

Moreover, they violated Section 33 of the NFVCB Act, 2004.

Okoro made a not-guilty plea.

Last year, a fire broke out at their Lekki home, killing the late Bimbo, the late Ikechukwu Ogbonna’s (also known as IVD) famed auto dealer wife in Lagos.

At the Lagos State High Court in Ikeja, Ogbonna, 37, is on trial for her death.

A one-count involuntary manslaughter charge was brought against the defendant by the Lagos State Government in suit No. LD/21055C/23, and he was arraigned on that charge.
