Popular Nollywood actor Sylvester Madu, also known as Shina Rambo, reportedly died on Saturday in Cameroon, narrowly avoiding death.
On November 23, 2023, Sylvester moved to Bamenda, Cameroon, in order to work on a movie.
In a statement made public on Monday, the film company that had invited the actor confirmed the occurrence, stating that about ten o’clock on Saturday night, Madu and a few other people were in a bar when some unidentified gunmen broke into the establishment.

Four people lost their lives in the incident, while over ten more suffered critical injuries.

We heard gunshots from outside at ten o’clock at night, and many people fled frantically, which resulted in four civilian deaths and more than ten injuries. Actor Sylvester Madu of Nollywood was safe since the police intervened and dispersed the mob.
“The police have guaranteed Sylvester Madu’s safety and his subsequent visit to his home country of Nigeria, and they are currently carrying out investigations to that effect.”
