54-Year-Old Man Arraigned For Stealing 70 Phones In Oyo

Innocent Udoh, 54, showed up in court on Friday in Ibadan’s Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing 70 phones valued N1.75 million.
Udoh, whose address was omitted, was accused of conspiring and stealing.

However the accused entered a not guilty plea to the accusation.

According to the prosecutor, ASP Sikiru Ibrahim, the theft was carried out on March 30 between midnight and five in the morning in the Mokola neighborhood of Ibadan by Udoh and other others still at large.

Ibrahim said that Udoh had taken 20 used Android phones worth N1 million and 50 Itel phones worth N750,000 from Mr. Nwaoma Ezeco.

According to him, the offenses violated Sections 516 and 390(9) of the Oyo State Criminal Code from 2000.

The defendant was granted bail in the amount of N500,000 with two sureties in the same amount by Magistrate Mrs. T. B. Oyekanmi.
